Checkers' Story

Many of you might remember the story of Blossom, the poor kitty that was found nearly frozen to the edge of a truck bed with her head stuck in a ravioli can.  She was one of three feral kittens rescued at that site.  While all three were beyond the ideal age for taming, Blossom and her sister Jasmine went to foster homes to be socialized and were eventually placed in wonderful forever homes.   

Well this is the tale of Checkers, the third kitten rescued at that same site. Unfortunately, this little one was just too feral to be sent to a foster, so we began looking for a possible barn home placement for her.  As fate would have it, one of our volunteers happened to be looking for a companion for Domino, a very feral TNR rescue that was living in her backyard garden shed and catio, so she decided to take a chance on the little wild child.  

As you'll see in this short video, things turned out far better for Checkers than any of us could have ever imagined...
