Blossom's Story
Early on a cold November morning Blossom was found nearly frozen to the edge of a truck with her head stuck in a ravioli can. A bag of garbage in the truck bed had been torn open to get to the discarded food.
A South County Cats' volunteer carefully approached her and grabbed the can and pulled it off her face. The scared kitty ran off but was soon trapped and rescued. She was one of three feral kittens at that property. (Another litter had been rescued there 2-3 years prior thanks to an alert neighbor.) While all three were beyond the ideal age for taming, Blossom and her sister Jasmine went to foster homes to be socialized and were eventually placed in wonderful forever homes. Blossom was adopted by the SCC volunteer who rescued her and truly lived happily ever after.
