South County Cats
A spay/neuter assistance organization
We Are a Small Organization Making a BIG Difference
South County Cats has facilitated over 18,500+ spay/neuters since 2006!
Please help us continue our mission to reduce euthanasia rates at local shelters and save lives through spay/neuter. As an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization, your donation to South County Cats is 100% tax deductible and 100% of your donation goes to our program services. Monetary donations may be sent via PayPal to
or to our mailing address:
South County Cats 26828 Maple Valley/Black Diamond Rd SE #160 Maple Valley, WA 98038
South County Cats does not have a physical shelter and is not able to take stray or owner-surrendered cats.
As volunteer foster homes are available, South County Cats takes in kittens whose mother (and other cats in the household or yard) are spayed or neutered through our programs. These kittens receive treatment for internal and external parasites, and are vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped before adoption.

We are so proud of our director and founder, Sally Halela, who was recognized with three different awards for her commitment to South County Cats and 35 years as an animal welfare volunteer:
Governor’s Volunteer Service Award - Animal Welfare category
Auburn Valley Humane Society’s Animal Champion Award - Individual category
Points of Light Award - Points of Light is the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service and recognizes extraordinary volunteers who are donating their time and talent to better their communities.
Sally is an inspiration to all of us and these awards validate the important work South County Cats does, which impacts cats, their caretakers and our community.
